Luther College Act 2018 & Bylaws

On December 5, 2018, Luther College’s new Act received Royal Assent in the Saskatchewan legislature.

The new Act was prepared by the Luther College Board of Regents and approved by the College’s membership at the national convention of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC). There are no significant changes for the College’s operations except that the College’s corporate membership will now be drawn from current and past regents, local church representatives, students, parents, faculty and staff of the College. Also, the College’s annual general meeting will be convened at the College instead of being part of the national assembly of the ELCIC. The Act has also been revised in other ways to reflect best governance practices.

Anyone interested in becoming part of the corporate membership of the College is invited to contact the President’s Office at 1-306-585-5144.
