Graduation Information
Students must apply to graduate through UR Self-Service. Please review all graduation details carefully before submitting your application.
Ceremony Options
Luther students may attend both the Luther College ceremony and the University of Regina (U of R) ceremony, or they may choose to attend only one.
Spring Convocation
Spring ceremonies are held in June over three days, depending on your faculty. The Luther ceremony takes place Thursday morning, followed by the U of R Arts & Science ceremony on Thursday afternoon. Students must apply by January 31 of the graduation year and complete their program by April—this includes students who finish in December or April.
Fall Convocation
Fall ceremonies occur in November, with the Luther ceremony in the morning and the U of R ceremony in the afternoon. Applications are due by July 31, and programs must be completed by August of the graduation year.

Convocation Awards
The Luther Medal of Distinction is awarded at Spring Convocation to a student with a superior academic record (85% UGPA or higher) who has also demonstrated leadership and service in the community, including faith communities, Luther College, the University of Regina, and society at large.
Graduate Retention Program
If you select “yes” on your graduation application, the U of R will apply on your behalf. More information is available here.
Graduation Photos
Graduating Luther students will receive an email invitation to schedule a session with Cornerstone Photography (2877 Park Street). Gowns (blue) and hoods for your degree are provided. A sitting fee applies, and you will receive fifteen poses for optional purchase. Your photo will also be included in the Luther composite of all graduates, displayed at the college. To be included, photos must be taken by October 31.
