Students must be 15 years of age to enroll in Driver Education. Students must have completed the Driver Education authorization form and have obtained an SGI customer number prior to the start of their session in order to be eligible to take the class.
Classes typically run Monday to Thurday, 3:30 to 5:30 in Room 118. Please note all sessions are 30 hours in length as mandated by SGI and students must complete 6 hours of driving time. There is no cost.
Sessions fill up very quickly on a first come, first serve basis. There is a limit of 30 participants per session. Students who sign up for a session but do not attend, nor notify the office of their withdrawal, may be subject to a $500 fee posted to the student’s account and may be ineligible to register in subsequent driver education sessions.
Luther College reserves the right to cancel or alter dates for Driver Education sessions in order to ensure there are enough students in each session.
The remaining dates for Driver Education sessions for the 2019-2020 school year are:
Session 4: April 20 to 23, April 27 to 30, May 4 to 7, May 11 to 13
