Dorms

Boarding: Live in the dormitories on campus.

Luther College High School boarding students benefit from being part of a small, safe, close-knit residence community. This supportive community enables students to grow both personally and in relationship with others.

Most rooms are double occupancy and come furnished with beds, desks and built-in closets. Our dorm washrooms are newly renovated! Click here for a virtual tour!

Dorm students have access to a student lounge and wireless internet. All meals and snacks are provided in the Luther College High School Cafeteria.

The dorm program offers a variety of social activities for students such as movie nights, karaoke nights, outdoor camping, an annual ski trip, open gym time, games night and more.

A dean of men, a dean of women and several residence assistants supervise the dorm student’s seven days a week. A school nurse is also available to students.

The Lounge

The lounge is a great place to hang out and spend time with friends while living in the dorms. With a big-screen television for movies, air hockey, table tennis, a pool table and foosball, there’s something for everyone!

The Cafeteria

The cafeteria is a central place in Luther College High School, providing places to meet and study as well as a place to eat. The cafeteria staff prepares three meals a day, brunches on Saturday and Sunday, and afternoon and evening snacks for all dorm students. Dorm students are required to have breakfast in the cafeteria. We hope that a complete breakfast will allow students to perform well in class and in their daily interactions.

The Blue Room

The Blue Room is a formal reception room. Located in the girl’s dorm building, the space is open to all dorm students. The Blue Room is used for teas and receptions, as well as a place for dorm students to practice their piano, quietly read and study, or simply to spend time together.
