Dr. Stephen Davis is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Regina. He has a Mentored PhD in Education from the University of Regina (2024), a Master of Arts in Second Language Education from McGill University (2017), a Baccalauréat en éducation française from the University of Regina (2013), and a Bachelor of Arts in French from the University of Saskatchewan (2011). Stephen’s research interests include French immersion programs, multilingualism, language education, language ideology, language policy, refugee studies, inclusive education, and plurilingual pedagogical approaches.
Stephen is a member of Christ Lutheran Church in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC). He served as the delegate for the ELCIC on the recent Luther College Presidential Search Committee (2024-2025). Stephen has also served on the Executive Council of the Canadian Association of Applied Linguistics (2020-2023), the Board of Directors and the Governance Committee of Canadian Lutheran World Relief (2012-2022), the Board of Directors of Kinasao Lutheran Bible Camp (2013-2015), and is a former Peer Chaplain at Luther College at the University of Regina (2011-2013).
