To-Go Meals for The Student Village Residents
Luther College Cafeteria is a dine-in, community-focused space. A limited to-go option is available for students with approved schedule conflicts during meal periods.
To-go meals are only available when a scheduled class, lab, or varsity sport overlaps the entire meal period. This helps ensure dining resources remain available to all students while supporting those who are unable to attend during regular hours.
Eligibility & How To-Go Meals Work
Students may be eligible for a to-go meal if they have a scheduled class, lab, or varsity sport that overlaps the entire meal period and the conflict occurs on a consistent, recurring weekly basis as part of their academic or athletic schedule.
To-go meals are not available for personal study time, work shifts, club meetings, extracurricular activities, appointments, social plans, or situations where a student is running late or experiencing a scheduling delay.
Students with an eligible recurring conflict must apply once per term for approval using an online form and must include a screenshot of their class schedule. All applications must be submitted prior to the start of term. Requests for new approvals or changes will be accepted until the end of the course add period, as outlined in the Academic Schedule. Approvals are valid for the current term only and must be renewed each term.
Once approved, students will be added to a master list at the cafeteria and may pick up a to-go meal on their approved days.
Important Expectations
If you do not require a meal on an approved day, please notify the cafeteria by 2:00 p.m. the day prior. Notifications can be made in person or through the To-Go Meals Opt-Out Form. If a meal is prepared and not picked up, your meal plan will still be deducted.
