  • Our student residence, The Student Village at Luther College, is a great place for student athletes to call home. The U of R Kinesiology Building is footsteps away with its Olympic size pool, gymnasium, and health centre.

  • Living in The Student Village at Luther College, our student residence, comes with a choice of healthy, nutritious meal plans. That means no grocery shopping, no meals to cook, and no dirty dishes to worry about. You can focus on your studies and wellness!

  • The deadline for academic application is March 15. To book a personalized entrance counselling appointment, contact our Recruitment Office at 1-306-206-2117.

  • Luther College students can sign up for the UR Guarantee program - get a job guaranteed after you graduate.

Luther Cafeteria

The Luther Cafeteria is open for take-out meals or the dining room is available at 50% capacity. Hours of operation are: Breakfast (8:00 - 11:30 a.m.), Lunch (11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.), and Supper (3:30 - 6:00 p.m.). Meal plans are available.

Operating Safely During COVID-19

In response to COVID-19, we have made a number of changes in order to provide a safe and welcoming environment for our guests to enjoy our delicious, homemade food as well as a safe working environment for our kitchen team. The following changes are in addition to our standard operating procedures, and are designed to keep our staff and guests safe as well as contribute to combating the spread of COVID-19:

ENHANCED SAFETY MEASURES AT THE LUTHER CAFETERIA

Physical Distancing:

  • Signs and floor markings have been installed to encourage physical distancing between guests.
  • A plexiglass sneeze guard has been installed to maintain separation between guests and servers for the buffet counter.

Reduced Touch Operations:

  • All meals are served by our staff. Takeout orders are separately packaged for guests.
  • Tableware has been reduced for dine-in only.
  • All condiments are single use.
  • Meal plan cards only require a swipe to activate.
  • Designated areas have been created for take-out orders to be picked up.

Increased Cleaning, Sanitizing, and Disinfecting:

  • Increased cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting of all surfaces throughout our kitchen and dining areas.
  • Certain high contact points are disinfected after each use. Other contact points are disinfected at least every 30 minutes.
  • The chemicals and procedures used at Luther College are effective in combating the spread of germs and viruses, including the coronavirus.

Hygiene:

  • Hand washing best practices will continue to be followed by our kitchen team.
  • Hand sanitizer is available for guests and our kitchen team to use as they enter/exit the cafeteria and inside of the cafeteria.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Face masks are worn by all cafeteria staff in public areas.
  • Gloves are available for cafeteria staff when handling utensils and cleaning.
  • Hand washing best practices will continue to be used by our kitchen team during food preparation.

Training:

  • Training has been made available for our kitchen team on all additional safety measures.
