Our Donors

Founders' Day Dinner

Every November, Luther College gathers for the Founders’ Day Dinner - our biggest donor event of the year and a beloved tradition where we celebrate and recognize lifetime giving to Luther College.

In 2000, Luther College established Founders’ Day to recognize the generosity and spirit of our many benefactors, past and present, who have played a part in the establishment and growth of the College. This annual event is traditionally held in mid-November around the time of the birthdays of Martin Luther and our first Principal and President, Rex Schneider.

On Founders’ Day we come together as a community to honour individuals, families, and organizations who have made significant contributions in support of the College’s vision and mission. Collectively, these gifts have tremendously enhanced the educational experience for Luther College students.

Founders’ Day Dinner 2020

Unfortunately, given the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions on public gatherings, the 2020 Founders’ Day Dinner has been postponed.

So although we couldn’t gather for an in-person dinner, we still wanted to say a special thank you all of our donors. We especially want to recognize those donors who reached a new level of cumulative lifetime giving with Luther College over this past year. Thank you for your incredible generosity! We also would like to introduce you to Luther’s new President, Rev. Dr. Marc Jerry. He provides an update on Luther College and tours both campuses in this video above. We hope you enjoy it.

These are the donors who reached a new level of cumulative lifetime giving as of June 30, 2020.

The 2019 Founders’ Day Dinner was held on November 14, 2019. We also honored our Distinguished Service Award receipients, Mary Jesse and Gerry Harris. Our photo gallery from 2019 is below.
