Advancing Responsible Consumption and Production in Higher Education: Inaugural Conference for the International Association of Universities Cluster
on Sustainable Development Goal #12

May 6 – 7, 2019 at Luther College at the University of Regina

Luther College and the University of Regina welcomed a number of delegates to an international conversation about how higher education can contribute to the advancement of responsible consumption and production. 

Sustainable consumption and production is about promoting resource and energy efficiency, sustainable infrastructure, and providing access to basic services, green and decent jobs and a better quality of life for all.

This day and a half conference focused on opportunities for mutual learning, networking and building opportunities for collaboration.  Representatives from higher education in Saskatchewan were joined by international representatives of the International Association of Universities (IAU) Cluster on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) #12 – Advancing Sustainable Production and Consumption.

The Cluster on SDG #12, led by the University of Regina and Luther College, is part of a larger initiative of the International Association of Universities to engage Higher Education throughout the world in achieving and supporting the SDGs and Agenda 2030.

IAU Webinar Series: Transformative Innovation and Collaboration for SDG12 - July 15, 2021

This webinar with the IAU HESD Cluster on SDG 12 is an additional side event to the United Nations High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) 2021, which took place 6-15 July 2021. SDG 12 – Ensure Sustainable Consumption and Production Patterns – is one of the Goals under review this year.
