How to Apply for Bursaries and Financial Aid

How to Apply for Bursaries and Financial Aid

1. Apply to Luther College High School on Open Apply

In order to apply for financial assistance or bursaries you must first apply to Luther College on Open Apply. The deadline to submit an application for 2023-24 is March 1. After this date, limited spaces may be available.

2. Apply to Apple Financial

Once you’ve initiated the Open Apply application you can then apply to Apple Financial Services on their website. The deadline to apply for Apple Financial Services is March 1.

Apple Financial Services will review your application and make recommendations on the amounts of tuition assistance to be awarded to you (if any). Apple Financial's suggested family contribution is based on the family’s financial resources and their ability to fund educational expenses. Apple Financial's analysis is one of the components used by Luther College to determine the level of assistance offered to the family applying. Apple Financial’s analysis is provided confidentially to Luther College and is not available to the applicants.

The Apple Financial Services website will show an application fee of $125.00. However, Luther College subsidizes half the cost, therefore your financial aid application fee is $62.50. This subsidized fee will be indicated once you have created your account on the Apple Financial Services website. The $62.50 fee is non-refundable and must be paid before an application is assessed. If you have concerns about this $62.50 fee, please contact our Director of Admissions at admissions@luthercollege.edu or call (306) 791-9174.

3. Submit a Bursary Application form

If you would like to be considered for a bursary, based on financial need as well as other criteria, complete the Bursary Application form. An application is not considered complete until we receive all requested documents.

Entrance Scholarships, Bursaries and Financial Aid applications are now CLOSED for the 2023-24 school year. The application deadline was March 1.

Luther College’s Admissions & Financial Assistance Committee convenes in April and May to review all of the financial aid and bursary requests and to determine the amount that will be awarded. Parents are contacted, in writing, with the amount (if any) to be awarded. Amounts awarded depend on need and the funds available.
