Frequently asked questions
Is there an application fee?
All applicants applying for admission to the University of Regina must submit a $85.00 (subject to change) non-refundable application fee with their application. Fees paid by mail should be in the form of a cheque or money order made payable to the University of Regina. Fees may be paid by Visa or MasterCard through the Business Office.
No fee is required from students applying for re-admission.
Will it cost me more money to be a Luther student?
No.
Tuition and fees at Luther College cost the same amount as tuition and fees at the University of Regina.
How much can I expect to pay for textbooks and other course materials?
In addition to the costs of tuition and fees, you will have to purchase the textbooks and course materials necessary for your classes. Although the cost of your textbooks and course materials is dependent upon the classes you take, you can expect to pay between $250 and $700 for your textbooks and course materials.
To save money in purchasing your textbooks, be sure to check out the University of Regina Student's Union (URSU) Used Book Store, in which thousands of used (and therefore less expensive) textbooks are made available. Plus, the money you spend on the used textbook is given to the original owner -- a student like you.
The University of Regina Bookstore also has some used textbooks available.
To determine what textbooks and course materials you require and how much they will cost, follow these steps:
- Visit the University of Regina Bookstore website
- From the left-hand column navigation, select "View Student Booklist/Purchase Textbooks Online"
- In the textboxes, type your user ID and your password. Click on the "Book List Access" button
- A list of your books and estimated prices should appear.
What should I expect to pay for accommodations?
Many students must also consider the costs of accommodations. While the costs of apartment living will vary, many students who register through Luther College choose to live in Luther College Residence , which is a convenient and economical place to live in Regina.
Is there a financial advantage to registering through Luther College?
Yes!
