Before you register…

  2. Find your time-ticket in UR Self-Service under “Check your Registration Status”.
  3. Check your financial account in UR Self-Service.  If you owe more than $500, you can’t register.
  4. Do you have the prerequisites for the courses you plan to take? View prerequisites in UR Self-Service (select “CRN” for your selected course, then “view catalog entry”) or in the UR Catalog.
  5. Do you have a good final exam schedule? If your exams are too close together, consider changing one or two course times.
  6. Are there any restrictions on the course? (Select CRN, then course title, and then scroll down to view restrictions).
  7. Do you need special permission to enroll in a course? Some courses require authorized signatures. Use the Registration Permit/Override Form to get the necessary signatures. Return the form to the Academic Office at least one day prior to your time-ticket. Staff will update your student record and you will have access to the restricted course. You can view your permissions in “UR Self-Service/Registration/Registration Status.”
