Registration
Registration Dates
Your date to register, called a time ticket, is posted in UR Self-Service under “Check your Registration Status”. Your date is based on how many credit hours you have. You may register later than your time-ticket, but never earlier.
Registration Tools
Class Schedule Worksheet: Use it to plan your courses and final exams
Class Schedule: A searchable database of all courses including course descriptions, pre-requisites and restrictions inside UR Self-Service. Luther courses are identified with an “L” section number ( eg: PSYC 101-L01).
Registration Permit/Override Form: use it to obtain permission for faculty, major, degree, program, campus restriction, and class capacity overrides.
Your degree outline: Ask for a copy of your degree outline at your Luther academic advising session. It displays completed courses, program GPA, and courses still required in your program.
Before you register…
- Make an appointment with your Luther advisor. We can help you with degree options, course choices, and lots of other helpful details. Call 585-5444 or email lutherreg@uregina.ca.
- Find your time-ticket in UR Self-Service under “Check your Registration Status”.
- Check your financial account in UR Self-Service. If you owe more than $500, you can’t register.
- Do you have the prerequisites for the courses you plan to take? View prerequisites in UR Self-Service (select “CRN” for your selected course, then “view catalog entry”) or in the UR Catalog.
- Do you have a good final exam schedule? If your exams are too close together, consider changing one or two course times.
- Are there any restrictions on the course? (Select CRN, then course title, and then scroll down to view restrictions).
- Do you need special permission to enroll in a course? Some courses require authorized signatures. Use the Registration Permit/Override Form to get the necessary signatures. Return the form to the Academic Office at least one day prior to your time-ticket. Staff will update your student record and you will have access to the restricted course. You can view your permissions in “UR Self-Service/Registration/Registration Status.”
