Bennington College president Elizabeth Coleman put out a provocative call to reinvent liberal arts education in her 2009 TED lecture series talk . The newest issue of Impetus [1] — the Luther College webzine — takes her talk as its starting point and invites members of the Luther and greater liberal arts community to respond to Coleman’s argument. Watch Coleman's address and read the responses from professors Noel Chevalier [2] (English, Luther), Bill Stahl [3] (sociology, Luther), Bryan Hillis [4] (president, Luther) and special guest contributor Benjamin Fiore [5] (president, Campion).
