Luther College High School proudly presents: Fiddler on the Roof

Luther College High School is proud to present the Broadway classic, Fiddler on the Roof. Luther College will be staging its annual musical production from 20 – 23 October 2011. Evening performances will begin at 7:30 pm and run from Thursday 20 October until Saturday 22 October. A 2 pm matinee will be held on Sunday 23 October. Doors open 30 minutes before each performance, and seating is rush. Tickets cost $8 for children, students and seniors, and $10 for adults. Tickets are available after 1 October 2011 at Luther College High School, Cobb Swanson Music, St. John’s Music, and Bach and Beyond (Golden Mile). Performances are held in the gym, which can be accessed via the Royal Street entrance. The gym is also wheelchair accessible.

Luther College high school has a long-standing tradition of presenting a popular Broadway musical every year. Since 1973, Luther has produced many musicals which have been mostly Broadway productions. For the past 20 years, the musical has had its run near the end of October with three evening performances and a Sunday matinée. Getting the annual musical ready for the stage takes a lot of work and involves over 150 Luther students either in the cast, orchestra or in the many crews that include makeup, costumes, admissions, lighting, sound and stage crew.

The musical provides students with new artistic experiences and opportunities in a creative and fun setting.
