Medallions & Major Awards
Presented each year on awards day to students who have earned participation points in athletic & cultural activities. A summary is in the chart below.
Bronze medallion
Awarded the first year a student meets the following requirements. The bronze medallion needs to be purchased by the student (around $10). There is no cost for any other medallion.
- Athletic - student must earn 85 points while in grade 9 or 10. They must achieve 95 if they are in grade 11 or 12.
- Cultural- student must earn 115 points
Athletic: Silver, gold and double gold medallions
Students who have earned 85 points (grade 10) or 95 points (grade 11/12), for a second time, will receive a silver medallion. A gold medal will be given to a student who receives 95 points for a third time. A double gold can be achieved in grade 12 if the student received 95 points for a fourth year in a row.
Cultural: Silver, gold and double gold medallions
Students who have earned at least 115 activity points in cultural activities will receive a silver medallion for their second year, a gold for their third and a double gold in their fourth year (only in grade 12).

Major Award
This award recognizes the all-round student. A plaque is presented to students who have earned 220 or more points in athletic and cultural activities. A minimum of 60 points must be earned in each area.
