Luther College’s Summer Campus ESL program is open to students 14-18 years of age.  This is an ideal program for international students who are planning to attend high school in North America or who simply want to become more proficient in the English language.

The program includes 90 hours of in-class instruction plus cultural experiences and recreational activities.  It is offered to students from all countries and the objective is to develop significantly improved English language skills and understanding of Canadian culture and values.

Students will live and study at Luther College on the University of Regina campus located in Regina Saskatchewan. Regina is a beautiful and safe city with a population around 220,000 people located in the heart of western Canada.

Program cost:  $3,475.00 CAD

The program cost includes:

  • Accommodation in residence
  • 90 hours of English language instruction
  • 19 buffet-style cafeteria meals per week
  • Airport transfers from and to Regina International Airport
  • Medical insurance while at Luther College
  • 24 hour supervision
  • Activities offered seven days per week for students living in residence
  • Luther College course completion certificate

The program cost does not include:

  • Airfare or additional airline charges
  • Personal spending money
  • Costs for visas, passport or other travel documents

Activities:

Along with formal ESL instruction time and conversation practice, students will be engaged in a variety of local Canadian cultural experiences.  Students will enjoy recreational and sporting activities such as kayaking, indoor rock climbing, hiking, as well as basketball, badminton, soccer, golf and tennis.  Students will also take in the excitement of a real western Canadian rodeo. Students will have the opportunity to attend local music festivals,  visit the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Heritage Centre, local museums and art galleries. The summer campus wraps-up with an “Amazing Race” activity with students using their new language skills in an exciting and fun race.
