Additional fees

Additional charges apply to activities that only some students choose to participate in each year, or where purchases are made or services rendered specifically to an individual student.  Incidental expenses are billed monthly.
 
Payment is due within 30 days of billing.
 
Programs, co-curricular activities, and trips other than those listed here are also available. Costs vary.
 
University credit class
Students who take university credit classes taught at Luther College High School pay tuition and other fees based on the current University of Regina fees. Payment is made to Luther College at the University of Regina campus. The University issues a receipt for tuition which may be claimed on the student's or parent's income tax form.
 
Film, video, and new media
Students pay a materials fee of $75 per film, video, and new media course.
 
Special Phys. Ed.
Students in the Special Phys. Ed. 20 or 30 program pay an annual fee of $75.
 
English as a Second Language (ESL)
All new international student applications (excluding exchange students) whose primary language is not English will be tested via "Skype" prior to being accepted to Luther College. The results of the "Skype" test will determine whether or not a student is required to enroll in ESL classes. Depending on progress, as determined by testing, students may be required to take ESL for more than one semester.
 
The annual cost for ESL classes is based on the level of study:

  • Intermediate level ESL: $3500 per semester
  • Advanced level ESL: $1600 per semester
  • Higher level ESL: No charge

 Students may elect or be encouraged to take additional ESL courses, or extra individual or small group tutoring, at an additional charge.
 
International Baccalaureate
Students electing to take IB courses in Grades 11 and 12 pay a non-refundable course fee as follows:

  • Grade 11 Certificate Course: $100/higher level course
  • Grade 11 Diploma Program: $250
  • Grade 12 Certificate Course: $175/higher level course; $75/standard level course
  • Grade 12 Diploma Program: $350

Grade 12 IB course fees qualify under income tax guidelines for post-secondary income tax deductions, which may be transferable to a parent or guardian. The College issues appropriate receipts.
 
Day student meal plans

The Luther College Cafeteria offers a balanced menu that meets Canada Food Guide standards and is designed to accommodate students' busy schedules.

  • 13 Meal Plan:  $79 (tax included)
  • 25 Meal Plan: $150 (tax included)
  • Semester Meal Plan: $380.00 (tax included)

Transportation
Luther College coordinates bus service to and from some areas of Regina where student demand makes it feasible.
 
Regina bus pass costs $195 per semester.
White City bus pass $300 per semester.
