Academics play a central part in the life at Luther College High School. Luther was the first high school in Saskatchewan to offer the acclaimed International Baccalaureate (IB) program features enhanced subject matter and accelerated classes, and its courses may be applied towards post-secondary coursework.
The strength of Luther College High School’s academics lies not only in its focus on traditional core subjects, but also in its emphasis on modern ideas and current issues. Exemplary of academic innovation at Luther is the school’s sustainability program. Combining approaches from disciplines such as science, history, English, and Christian ethics, this interdisciplinary program examines issues of environmental sustainability, challenging students to apply what they learn in the classroom to the outside world.
